Meet Ogor Winnie Okoye
Ogor Winnie Okoye is an attorney, keynote speaker, published author, certified life coach, licensed financial professional, and equity activist; a multi-hyphenate whose life’s work sits at the intersection of law, faith, leadership, and human potential.
As the Founder and Principal Attorney at BOS Legal Group, LLC. in Lynn, Massachusetts, Ogor brings over two decades of experience across immigration law, criminal defense, estate planning, and family law. As a seasoned litigator, she has tried numerous jury and bench trials before state and federal courts and has advocated for clients from arraignment through appeal. She is licensed in Massachusetts and New York.
Ogor holds a Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School where she consistently earned Deans list honors and received the Law School Jurisprudence Award in Tort Law. Ogor earned a Bachelors of Law from the University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus. She is also a Licensed Financial Professional and an life and annuity insurance producer in eight states.
Beyond the courtroom, Ogor is a transformational keynote speaker who has graced stages at international conferences, university summits, bar association CLEs, civic forums, and women’s empowerment events. She has served as keynote speaker, panelist, moderator, and master of ceremonies at events hosted by institutions including the University of Massachusetts, Hult International Business School, America Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), and the Massachusetts Commission on the Status of Women, among many others.
She is the author of two transformational books - Awaken and Unleash Your Victor (2012) and The Soul Compass Collections (2014), which form the foundation of her coaching and speaking curriculum. Her signature movement, #AwakenandUnleashYourVictor continues to inspire audiences to step boldly into their purpose.
A woman of deep faith and conviction, Ogor is passionate about equity, justice, and community transformation. She was the first Black Chairperson of the Essex County Commission on the Status of Women (2019-2023), and the first Black Co-Chair of the Boston Area International Women’s Day 25th Anniversary (2023). During her tenure as the Chairperson of the Essex County Commission on the Status of Women, she served as the Founding Chairperson of the Ginsburg initiative; a collective effort by many dedicated women to empower young women ages 14-22 within the county to become social justice advocates. She also served as the Chairperson of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) committee of the AILA New England chapter.
She is the Founder and Executive Director of The Immigrant Service Center, Inc., a non profit dedicated to ensuring successful resettlement and immigration pathways for immigrants through reduced-fee legal services, free immigration clinics, life planning workshops, and financial literacy programs.
She is the current president of the Queens School Enugu Old Girls Association (Northeast Chapter) and serves as Legal counsel to UmuadaIgbo Massachusetts, a non-profit organization in Massachusetts dedicated to advancing the Igbo cultural heritage which highlights the pivotal role women hold in the Igbo culture, while protecting women’s rights, promoting peace, unity, and camaraderie within the Igbo families. She sits on the board of numerous nonprofit organizations and holds membership in various professional and civic organizations across New England and beyond.
Ogor is married to Dr. Victor Ide-Okoye whom she lovingly calls, “Bubu” and they are proud parents of five children.

Accolades
Ogor is the immediate past chairperson of the Essex County Commission of the Status of Women. In that role, she, and the other commissioners at the commission worked on advancing women in the county toward full equity in areas of their lives through pushing for policies and legislations that advanced the causes of women and girls in the county while also amplifying their voices and at the same time, creating more leadership opportunities for women and girls in the county. She was the co-chair of the planning committee for the Boston Area International Women’s Day 2023.
Ogor is also the immediate past chair of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee of the American Immigration Association of New England (AILA NE).
Ogor sits on the board of numerous nonprofits in Massachusetts and is also admitted to practice law in New York.
